I was utterly sick of making sandwiches for lunch. I despised getting out the mayo one more time and slicing cheese yet again. I thought, I'd rather starve at lunch than take a sandwich.
Finally, I bought some "Healthy Choice" frozen meals, thinking it would be a nice alternative to the lame sandwich idea. I bought 10, on sale, and figured I'd try to alternate between a frozen dinner and...anything but a sandwich. From now on, I'd eat lunch out of a cardboard box.
Operation No More Sandwiches began on Monday. My lunch consisted of a cardboard box of maccaroni and cheese (minus most of the cheese), carrots, yogurt, and an apple. I enjoyed lunch so much better that when I went to pack my lunch for Tuesday, I couldn't bring myself to make that dang sandwich.
Needless to say, I've been eating out of a cardboard box all week and couldn't be happier about my decision to do so. I'm not certain that the meals are the most healthiest of my options, but I'm sure a more pleasant person after I feed my face with the contents of a cardboard box rather than a ham and cheese sandwich.
Update on the Football player/grade change post from yesterday: To make a long dramatic story short--the principal gave the ok for all the teachers to change his grade (apparently we're dealing with a crazy mom who is more obsessed with the football thing than the kid). I changed the grade, was kind of annoyed because the kid had pestered me all day, and am just glad it's done and over with.
Tomorrow is picture day. It'll be a long one for me since I'll be down helping the photographers and such. Then just one more day till Friday!

eating out of a cardboard box
