black suit

Two in a row. Go me.

Today I wore my black business suit (see picture above). I wore this suit, one of the two I own, a ton during my student teaching. I wore it a ton during student teaching because there were certain dress code standards I had to follow during student teaching. These dress code standards aren't exactly the same that are at WL. It's fairly casual there, and unfortunately, sometimes teachers dress a bit too casually. I don't feel I fall into that category; I try not to wear jeans, except on Friday's, and I try looking casual, but professional.

At any rate, I decided to wear my business suit today with my yellow button up shirt. I wore my glasses and I guess you could say looked a little spruced up. I had loads of students asked me why I was so dressed up, and asked if I were going somewhere special today. Of course I said no. Plenty also said that I looked like a lawyer. Ha. I felt pretty good about how I looked, but was kind of irritated by the end of the day with these comments about looking so 'special.' Ben promised me that I didn't look bad, just that when people aren't used to seeing me dressed up a bit, it's unusual when I do and so they question me.

The above picture was taken today, obviously, during my 1st period. I took the journalism students outside, for the second time, to take pictures for the newspaper and their press passes. They all got their picture taken by this tree and they begged me to do the same, so one of the photographers shot this picture of me...I look a bit ridiculous because they were all making me laugh. We had a pretty good time today.

I had teacher book club today after school, something I was part of last year. There were a few teacher who left last year and came back for the book club meeting. We had ice cream and brownies and discussed possible book options. It was fun and relaxing, though while I was there I remembered I also had a Primary Presidency meeting tonight, so I rushed home to get ready for that. I'm proud to say that we just finished writing our Sacrament Meeting program!!

Still enthralled with "Twilight." I had to force myself, at 10:30pm last night, to hide the book so I would get to bed. I'm looking forward to getting in bed shortly to read some more. I'm over half-way through and luckily, also have the 2nd one on hand to read.

I have a substitute all lined up for my personal day on Friday. Ben and I are going to my cousin, Isaac's, wedding in Salt Lake. I'm looking forward to the day off. This week has been a crazy one (though, aren't they all!)

So cute! You look like such a fun teacher.
We are coming to Utah the second week of November. I know that the leaves will be gone but if you still want family photos-I'll be happy to do them.

I still think there is no one who is more photogenic than you--at least of the people I know...well, maybe Cassidy!! But she's in a different category!!

I love your new glasses, too.

Which one is Isaac? I was never sure which one was Gabe or which one was Isaac.

you look gorgeous!

I love reading about all you're doing! Every time I read I think how lucky those students are to have you as they're teacher!

Isn't the Twilight series INCREDIBLE?!!! I read the first 2 in 24 hours each! I'm still waiting to get the 3rd. Have you checked out the author's website? It's really fun!

Anywho... Love ya!
