ooddles of pics

Here are all the tables that will soon completely occupy my room. There are a total of 15 tables taking up almost half of my room.
Here's the other half of my room, squished into 4 rows of 7 desks. This all happened during 4th and period today, which made 6th and 7th periods act crazy.

I've been told to wait the next 2 weeks out while they wait for the computers to be delivered, then I'll be given the boot and will become WL's only traveling teacher. I still have no idea what will really go on; all that I know is that I'm to find a cart (much like those metal AV carts) and that will essentially be my "Classroom on Wheels."

This whole thing has kind of thrown me off today so I was a tad grumpy. I'm trying to remain positive though, and testing my flexibility more than ever. The janitor who was delivering the tables told me that I'd probably get more exercise than any other teachers in the building because I'll be roaming the school all day. Hah. Just the positive nugget I should take from this experience.

Today I received the CD with all the group pictures taken on Friday. It sure got back to me quick, seeing as pictures were only taken on Friday.

See if you can spot me, the teacher, amongst the students in both my yearbook and journalism classes:
We are all wearing our respective staff sweatshirts and each group insisted we do a "silly" pose. In all honesty, most groups insisted that. And, if truth were told, I quite prefer these "silly" poses to the more serious ones where no one really shows much personality.

Seeing how we have a deadline of 35 pages in less than a month, I'm glad these came when they did. Now, students will actually have pictures to work with for their individual pages.

Today marks the 3rd time this year I got hid in the head with a flying paper dart. It always happens in 3rd period, and I can safely say that it is always an accident...I just happen to be walking in the wrong place at the wrong time. Anywho, I caught 3 or 4 students wasting my paper and making these darts. When I got hit, it was really the last straw so I gave each an ASD and had a mini discussion with them in the hall about their behavior. I hope tomorrow brings a better turn of behavior for them.

Tomorrow all of my classes will be working in the library. My 8th graders have a BIG culture report due on Wednesday so tomorrow is their last day to complete that. The 9th graders have been working on yearbook pages and a big famous journalist project. I hope to be able to post grades on Thursday, which will free up my 1/2 day Friday for things like creating CRT review worksheets, planning 3rd quarter (3rd! Quarter!), and (sniff) taking down my wall decorations.

I don't think this traveling teacher thing is very fair, but who am I? I hope it doesn't make all your students all wired up by having to change rooms all day.
I don't know if I told you, but I broke a filling on a tooth Sunday, eating my caramel popcorn. I went to the dentist today and I need a new crown etc. I HATE IT! But he wouldn't do it today because my blood pressure was too high, which I have never had a dentist tell me. It seems like I break a tooth or a filling about every year.
Have a great week! love ya

I also meant to say that you can pass as an 8th grader any day..although some of those kids look like they are much older than that. It looks like some of them are more excited than others!!

So sad your losing your classroom. That really stinks.

It was fun to see your yearbook class-you sure do look like a student! Toby almost couldn't point you out! :)
